1. Who we are

Filebox Bookkeeping LLC ("Filebox", "we", "us") provides bookkeeping services to small businesses in the United States. Legal mailings may be sent to: Filebox Bookkeeping LLC, 30 N Gould St, Suite R, Sheridan, WY 82801.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly: your name, email address, phone number, business details, and messages you send through our website forms. When you become a client, we also receive the financial information needed to do your bookkeeping: receipts, invoices, bank and credit card transaction data (through read-only access you approve), and the documents you upload or email to your receipt inbox.

3. How we use it

We use your information to respond to inquiries, recommend a plan, perform bookkeeping services, prepare your monthly financial statements, and, with your consent, send occasional Filebox updates. We never sell your information, and we never sell your financial data. We do not use your documents for advertising.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay, you provide your payment information directly to Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. Stripe's use of your information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

5. Sharing

We share your information only as needed to perform our services: with Stripe for payment processing, with your accountant or tax preparer at your direction, and where required by law. Our personnel access client data only to do the bookkeeping work.

6. Storage and security

Your data is stored on servers in United States data centers. We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted connections and limited access controls. Bank and card access is read-only; we cannot move money or change your accounts.

7. Retention

We keep client records as long as needed to provide services and to meet legal and accounting requirements. Website inquiry data is kept while relevant to providing services to you.

8. Email

If you opt in to receive Filebox updates, every message includes an unsubscribe link. We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act; transactional messages about your account are not marketing.

9. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing dave@fileboxbookkeeping.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, subject to legal record-keeping obligations.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
